Jan Reid
Jan Reid has written twelve books, including a much-praised memoir of Mexico, The Bullet Meant for Me,and two award-winning novels. The second, Comanche Sundown, a sprawling story of the Indian wars in the Southwest, won the 2011 best fiction prize of the Texas Institute of Letters. His forthcoming Let the People In is a biography of the late Texas governor Ann Richards. His novel in progress details an American's love affair amid the separatist strife in the Basque region of Spain.
